Jack Carr’s double helped Knaresborough Town record a 4-2 victory at Bottesford Town.

Knaresborough were in dreamland after going 3-0 up after 52 minutes through Carr, Craig Ramplin and Tom Dugdale.

Carr restored the three-goal lead on the hour mark before Bottesford pulled a further one back.

Ten man Athersley Rec suffered late heart-break after pushing leaders Grimsby Borough all the way.

Athersley took a shock lead through Declan Martin in the fifth minute.

Despite going down to ten men early in the second half, the Rec held on until the 80th minute.

They were still level until Lewis Collins scored in the 96th minute.

FA Vase 

The three Yorkshire sides still in the competition were all defeated.

Eccleshill United lost 3-2 at home to Nathan Jarman’s Barton Town while Emley succumbed to two late goals at Newcastle Benfield.

Danny East and Jamie Forrester scored for North Ferriby in the 2-2 draw at North Shields.

Ferriby lost 6-5 on penalties.
