Silsden gained revenge for their opening day disaster as Danny Forrest’s men cantered to an impressive 4-2 victory over Handsworth.

Silsden brutally went 4-0 up after 47 minutes.

Brad Riley scored a beauty in the 12th minute to set Silsden on their way to victory.

Jack Normanton then lobbed Handsworth goalkeeper Alfie Hayes-Daubney to double the home side’s lead.

The match moved away from the Ambers close to half-time as Riley struck again.

Josimar Bradshaw further extinguished Handsworth’s hopes straight after the interval.

Handsworth did breath life into themselves late-on.

Kane Reece and Leon Howarth – from a free kick – scored.

Lewis Waddington scored two goals as Thackley won 4-1 to end Goole’s three-match winning run.

Waddington was presented with a tap-in in the 16th minute and Paddy McGuire’s men never looked back.

Two goals either side of the half-hour mark put Thackley in full control.

Frankie Sinfield, who also set the first goal up, crossed for Waddington to double the Dennyboys’ tally.

Sinfield then had a shot saved in the build-up to the third goal but Ben Grech-Brooksbank was on hand to fire home the rebound.

Luke Williams pulled one back for Goole in the second half but it did not inspire a comeback in the blizzard conditions.

Young Ras Diamond scored Thackley’s fourth late-on.
