On song: Yorkshire Amateur playmaker Ste Crawford regularly hits the high notes for his side

First half goals from Ste Crawford and Adam Priestley earned Yorkshire Amateur a solid 2-0 victory over Tadcaster Albion.

Crawford’s deflected strike placed the Ammers in front in the 17th minute.

The decisive second goal came on the stroke of half-time.

Ross Duggan’s penalty was saved by Harrison Davison-Hale but the Ammers won the ball back and Priestley was presented with a simple tap-in.

The win propels the Ammers up to ninth.

Frickley Athletic striker Brad Wells

Frickley Athletic under-lined their continuing improvement with the 1-1 draw with Shildon.

The North East giants had taken an early lead through Michael Sweet.

However, Frickley hit back as Brad Wells scored with a looping header on the stroke of half-time.

Pickering Town lost 4-3 in their six-pointer with Lincoln United.

Ben Clappison got a double for Pickering whose other goal-scorer was Billy Logan.

Roy Fogarty recently joined Ossett United

Roy Fogarty helped Ossett United give title-chasing Marske United a fright at Ingfield.

The striker’s goal gave Ossett an early lead.

But Marske fought back and second half goals from former York City striker Adam Boyes gave Marske their win.

Brighouse Town striker Laurence Sorhaindo

Brighouse Town lost 3-2 at Stockton Town.

Laurence Sorhaindo and Shiraz Khan scored for Vill Powel’’s side.
