Pickering Town manager Steve Roberts has signed a defender on loan from a Football League club for a month.
Scunthorpe United centre-back Harry Barker has joined Pickering.
He goes straight into contention to play in the huge clash with Tadcaster Albion at Mill Lane on Saturday.
Barker, 18, has come back from a long lay-off because of a knee injury and is looking for game-time.
Pickering need a win against Tadcaster after losing to fellow strugglers Bridlington Town on Tuesday.
