Louis Axcell’s Maltby Main are up to seventh after a second consecutive league victory.

Goals in both halves from Reggie Waud and Johnathan Williams earned Maltby their three points.

Waud’s 25-yard strike in the 16th minute built the foundations for Maltby.

Mansfield, who have only scored 23 times this season, lost their captain Thomas Cropper to a second yellow card in the second half.

Maltby put distance between them and their hosts on the hour.

A beauty of a free kick from Williams flew into the net like a rocket.

The win was made further memorable when debutant goalkeeper Owen Evans saved Lewis Weaver’s late penalty.
