Leaders Hallam extend lead at top after Ferriby lose in last minute

Victorious Hallam capitalised on North Ferriby’s slip-up against Retford FC to open up a four-point lead at the top,

Hallam comfortably saw off struggling FC Humber United in a 4-0 victory in front of an amazing 787 people.

James Gregory (2) and Kieran Watson placed Craig Denton’s men in a total controlling position by half-time.

Midfielder Richard Patterson added the fourth late-on.

North Ferriby defender Niall Tilsley

The Hallam players must have been bouncing off the walls at full-time when they learned that Retford had scored a last minute winner in the 2-1 victory at Ferriby.

All had been going swimmingly for Ferriby at half-time as Niall Tilsley had put them ahead.

Ferriby had lots of chances but failed to score again.

Alex Wonham equalised and ex-Worksop Town midfielder Adam Scott won it for Retford in the dying minutes.

Nostell Miners Welfare striker Danny Edwards

Jason Short scored a late equaliser for Swallownest in the 1-1 draw at Ollerton Town in Nottingham.

Worsbrough Bridge were comfortably beaten 3-1 by Dronfield Town who also had a penalty saved by goalkeeper Ross Pritchard.

Dempsey Smith scored a late consolation for Worsbrough.

Parkgate won 4-3 at Glasshoughton Welfare.

James Stafford (2), Brandon Bagley and Alister Haydock hit the target for Andy Dawson’s side.

Aaron Gray, Lewis Stephens and James Cusworth were on Glasshoughton’s score-sheet.
