Hallam manager Craig Denton has appointed former Tadcaster Albion assistant manager Steve Waide as first team coach.

Waide was Paul Quinn’s assistant manager at Tadcaster for a couple of years until the ex-Brighouse Town boss quit to take a job at Sheffield United several weeks into this season.

Waide then stepped in as interim manager for four games before resigning.

Craig Denton said: “I’m very pleased to finally get Steve on board, Steve is someone that I have been speaking to these past few months and with the qualities Steve has I was really excited to offer him a role with us.

“Steve has vast amounts of experience within football, previously with Tadcaster Albion and has held many other roles within football.

“Steve will take up the role of first team coach at the club and will be joining up with myself and joint assistant managers Rob (Poulter) and Wayne (Thompson).“
