Pontefract Collieries have confirmed that striker Joe Lumsden is now tied to them on a permanent basis.

Lumsden recently returned to the Colls on loan until the end of the season from Stocksbridge Park Steels where he was out of the side.

Lumsden has been in superb form for the Colls who have won four games – three against North East giants – on the bounce and kept four clean sheets in the process.

Ponte were near the bottom two weeks ago but now they have their sights on the top half.

Lumsden has scored twice but has been a powerful figure going forward and has provided some assists.

Craig Rouse recently said the priority for the striker was getting him smiling again and he certainly is.
