Ex-Farsley assistant is new Leeds first team coach

New Leeds United first team coach Mark Jackson

Former Farsley Celtic assistant manager Mark Jackson has been promoted to first team coach at Leeds United.

Jackson was the club’s very successful under 23s manager but he will now assist new Leeds boss Jesse Marsch.

Jackson played for his hometown club in the Premier League under George Graham in the mid-1990s before playing for Scunthorpe United and Rochdale.

He then dropped into Non League with Farsley who he served as a player, captain, assistant manager alongside his role as manager of the their Leeds City College side.

Former Farsley chief Neil Parsley, who Jackson assisted at Throstle Nest, told Non League Yorkshire last year how proud he was of his former comrade.
