Late goal takes Guiseley’s survival battle to last day

Guiseley have taken their battle to complete the great escape to the final day after Kaine Felix hit the late winner in the 1-0 defeat of Spennymoor Town.

The Lions will have to win at Alfreton Town on Saturday and hope AFC Telford United or Farsley Celtic drop points.

Steve Kittrick’s side were in a win or bust situation, but they certainly left it late.

Farsley were held to a 1-1 draw away at Darlington.

York City booked their place  in the play-offs with the 2-1 win over AFC Fylde.

Lenell John-Lewis and Mitch Hancox netted.

Bradford (Park Avenue) lost 4-0 at Chester.

National League 

FC Halifax Town remain in control of third-place after two quick-fire goals earned them a 2-1 win at Eastleigh.

Kian Spence and Matty Warburton scored for Halifax.
