Former Garforth Town manager Adrian Costello is to be Mike Thompson’s assistant at Bridlington Town

Bridlington Town chief Mike Thompson has appointed a former Garforth Town boss as his assistant manager.

Adrian Costello has accepted Thompson’s offer and will be in the Queensgate dugout next season.

Costello is best known in Non League circles in this region for saving Garforth from relegation in 2016.

His time at Garforth was brief, but his efforts kept the Miners afloat during a tough period.

In more recent times he delivered huge success in Sweden with Ytterhogal IK.

Since returning to the UK, he was manager of Hull City Ladies until stepping down to take the Brid role.
