Former Toolstation NCEL referee Tom Bramall has been promoted to the Premier League.
The Sheffield-based whistler follows in the footsteps of several officials such as Bobby Madley and Howard Webb who have gone all the way to the top.
Followers of the Northern Premier League and National North will have him in action over the years as well.
One of the popular Bramall’s highlights in the NCEL was refereeing the 2011 President’s Cup between Farsley Celtic and Tadcaster Albion.
Joining him in the Premier League is another blast from the past for Steps 4 to 6 followers is promotion of Steve Meredith who becomes an assistant referee in the top flight.
