One of the most prolific forwards from South Yorkshire in the past ten years has signed for Pontefract Collieries.
Once a killer duck, Gavin Allott will be a sharp-shooter for Ponte this season after leaving champions Liversedge.
Allott is best known for his goal-laden spells with Shaw Lane Aquaforce and Frickley Athletic.
Allott was a huge part of the success of the latter Craig Elliott glory days at Shaw Lane – helping them win the old Division One South title and the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup.
He is not the only new signing Craig Rouse has made this weekend.
Versatile Harry Spratt has joined the Colls from Ashton United.
He has also also previously played for Scarborough Athletic and York City.
