Two beauties from Mikey Dunn helped Pontefract Collieries defeat lower league Knaresborough Town.

Dunn lit up the proceedings on the stroke of half-time – brightening up an otherwise dull first half.

The attacker curled a stunning free kick into the top corner.

Knaresborough equalised on the hour mark – Jordan Hines finished off Brad Walker’s assist.

Parity did not last long.

Gav Allott, who missed an open goal in the first half, showed how powerful he is with a superb turn and finish.

Dunn then followed up his first half wonder goal by producing a replica of Ricky Villa’s 1981 FA Cup winning goal for Tottenham.

It was a moment of brilliance as Dunn danced around at least two defenders before placing the ball under beaten goalkeeper Tommy Brown.

Danny Edwards brought Knaresborough back to within one goal very late-on but Jack Lazenby penalty restored the two-goal lead.
