Pickering boosted by signing of experienced ‘keeper

Northern League

Pickering Town manager Steve Roberts

Steve Roberts has been further boosted by the arrival of an experienced Northern League goalkeeper at Pickering Town.

Jack Norton will take the number one position and brings exactly what Roberts has been looking for all summer.

He has played in the NL for the likes of Whickham, Dunston UTS, Consett, Bedlington Terriers, Newcastle Blue Star an Guisborough Town.

He has also had a stint at Spennymoor Town in the National North.

Roberts can now go into the opening day clash at Bishop Auckland in a positive frame of mind.

Although the side is not complete and more signings will happen, Roberts knows he has the makings of a competitive squad.
