Armthorpe Welfare chairman/manager Lee Morris

As chairman and manager Lee Morris writes the theme tune and sings the theme tune at Armthorpe Welfare and he wants them to be a top ten hit in the charts.

But the chairman/manager knows his club face a tough challenge.

“As long as we build own last year and we keep progressing and progressing off-the-pitch then it will be a successful season,” Morris told Non League Yorkshire.

“I’m not setting a real benchmark.

“I want us to keep progressing and break into that top ten and see where we can go. That’s what I have got my eye on.

“I think it would take a mammoth effort to compete at the top end and play-offs but who knows?

“There’s always one surprise who always ends up there so why not us?

“We have to have realistic targets.

“We can’t compete with the teams throwing the money around – 13th to 8th is probably our budget mark so anything above that is excellent for us.”
