Ben Hunter says Rossington Main want to continue breaking new ground and look to replicate or better last season’s stunning top five finish.

“100% (we want to match or better), you have got to,” Hunter told Non League Yorkshire.

“I think we have got to be positive.

“We have got a great team, a great culture so if hit the play-offs again I’d be happy.

“If we hit anything above that is a bonus.

“We’re setting out to make sure we follow up on last season and not wither away.

“The play-offs have got to be aim as a minimum.”

Their top five finish was unheard of territory for Rossington and Hunter says their results have captured the imagination of the community.

“We have had a tiny bit of success but in terms of where we want to go we have had no success, we have no trophies,” he said.

“But for Rossington Main we have had a lot of success.

“The community has bought into it which is just as important.

“We have had loads of ground improvements done by our volunteers and companies have donated.

“I’m really excited for the season both on-and-off-the-pitch.”
