Interview

Swallownest manager Alex Nightingale

Alex Nightingale feels Swallownest are in a better place than last season when the club struggled for the majority of the campaign.

“(The aim is to) certainly (do) better than last year,” Nightingale told Non League Yorkshire.

“I want consistency more than anything and consistency builds a good platform.

“In terms of objectively in the league I want to push to tenth position and above.

“If we get a good start, that sets you off.

“If you start well and keep the same team and you’re lucky with injuries then you end up doing well.

“I’m not going to get carried away but the feeling is much better (than parts of last season).

“(13th) would be absolutely brilliant and miles better than we were last year.”
