Darren Hepworth’s Hepworth United knocked out League Cup holders Swinton Athletic after winning 2-1 in the First Round tie.

Ryan Silvester and young forward Sam Thompson fired transformed Hepworth to a dream start to the campaign.

Wombwell Town are through after Eddie Agnew’s second half goal earned them a 1-0 win over Stocksbridge Park Steels Reserves.
