Ossett win shootout after Aldrich’s equaliser sends tie to penalties

Luke Aldrich was the hero for Ossett United as Jas Colliver’s men emerged victorious after a penalty shootout at Stocksbridge Park Steels in the first qualifying round tie.

Aldrich struck the late equaliser in the 2-2 draw which had seen the Steels lead twice through Luke Rawson and Alex O’Connor. 

Aldrich also hit the first equaliser.

He was also a successful spot kick taker in the 3-0 shootout win. 

Ollie Fearon and Michael Hollingworth also converted.

Pontefract Collieries sharp-shooter Gavin Allott

Pontefract Collieries lost 3-1 at North Shields. 

Jake Picton was shown a second yellow card in the first half but despite the blow, Gav Allott managed to equalise for the Colls.

Shields scored twice late-on to win it.

Tadcaster Albion lost 7-0 at Macclesfield.

Bridlington Town were beaten 2-1 at home by Colne.

Ali Aydemir found the net for Brid in the last few minutes.
