Wombwell Main was packed out for the historic derby clash with Wombwell Town.

Around 250 people – an unbelievable figure for a Saturday CSL fixture – watched the two rivals battle out a pulsating 0-0 draw.

Darren Hepworth’s Hepworth United are firmly the early pace-setters after stalwart Ryan Silvester’s goal secured a 1-0 success at now-manager-less Houghton Main.

North Gawber are off to a flyer as they put four past Ecclesfield Red Rose 1915 without reply.

Penistone Church Reserves attacker Ryan Hallsworth

Penistone Church Reserves’ fine start continued with the 4-1 victory over Sheffield Town.
