Hall Road appoint new boss and beat North Ferriby

Hall Road Rangers have a new manager and they’re also through in the East Riding Senior Cup after a stunning 3-1 win at North Ferriby.

Chris Burke has replaced Leon Sewell following the latter’s move to Goole AFC to be Simon Houghton’s assistant manager.

Burke has been Sewell’s side-kick for years.

He is currently recovering from an operation so Matt Gray and Alex Lisney currently hold the fort and they oversaw a big upset at Ferriby.

Tomm Waud (2) and Tom Oliver scored for the Humber Premier League side.

Tom Corner struck a consolation for Ferriby in the last minute.

A late rally helped Bridlington Town beat Beverley Town on penalties after a pulsating 3-3 draw.

Beverley had led 3-1 going into the final 15 minutes thanks to Reece Moody’s double and Ryan Nicholl’s goal.

Jack Martindale scored the two late goals for Brid which forced penalties.

Jack Griffin also netted for Mike Thompson’s NPL outfit.
