New goalkeeper Ben Townsend saved a first half penalty during his Stocksbridge Park Steels debut.

Townsend kept out a spot kick during the 1-1 draw against North Shields at Bracken Moor.

He was unable to keep out a second Shields penalty late in the second half and it was left to substitute Dylan Youmbi to be the hero with his last minute equaliser.

Brighouse Town drew 2-2 with Lincoln United.

An own goal and Jack Boyle’s strike earned Brighouse a draw.

Pontefract Collieries were winning at unstoppable leaders Worksop Town until a controversial decision turned the game in the hosts’s ways.

Joe Lumsden gave the Colls a seventh minute lead but Liam Hughes’s debatable penalty levelled matters.

Ex-player Vaughan Redford then netted twice.

Lumsden would score again to make things interested but it ended on a sour note for him as he was shown a second yellow card in the closing stages.

Bridlington Town held a 1-0 half-time lead through Lewis Dennison but they were beaten 2-1 by Hebburn Town.
