Ash Bell scored the 97th minute winner as basement side Glasshoughton Welfare won 2-1 at fourth-placed Horbury Town.
The dramatic finish rounded off a local derby that had seen Glasshoughton take a first half lead through Owen Thomas’s long range effort.
Jamie Cusworth haunted his old side with Horbury’s equaliser midway through the second half.
A dangerous free kick in the dying seconds presented Glasshoughton with their chance to nick the three points.
It came back off the crossbar and Bell stabbed home the rebound.
Glasshoughton host Beverley Town on New Year’s Eve (kick off 1pm) while Horbury visit Shirebrook Town.
