Step 7 promotion applicants revealed

The list of Step 7 clubs who have applied for promotion to Step 6 has been revealed.

Below are the clubs who could be elevated into Non League Yorkshire’s covered leagues.

Retford United, Dearne & District, Harworth Colliery, Club Thorne Colliery, Dinnington Town, Clay Cross, Pinxton, Teversal have put their names forward from the Central Midlands League.

Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League outfit Wombwell Town, as previously reported on NLY, have applied.

Route One Rovers and Leeds University are two Yorkshire Amateur League applicants.

Shelley have also staked a claim to return to Step 6, three years after their resignation.

Shelley are currently in the West Yorkshire League Premier Division.

Teams must finish in the top five of their respective leagues to be even considered for the jump.
