Dodworth Miners Welfare striker Sam Scrivens

Sam Scrivens gave his former manager Darren Hepworth a sleepless night after scoring twice in Dodworth Miners Welfare’s 3-1 win over Hepworth United.

The striker was one of a long list of top players who the Hepworth chief gave their first chance in Non League Football during his time at Emley.

Another player synonymous with his Emley reign, legendary Non League striker Ash Flynn, played upfront for Hepworth but his debut only garnered a goal from the penalty spot.

Red hot North Gawber are third after the 5-1 demolition of South Kirkby Colliery.

Kai Hancock netted twice alongside goals from Matty Thornton, Carey Welford and Callum Mackie.
