The Toolstation Northern Counties East League
The FA have given the green-light for the Toolstation Northern Counties East League season to be extended.
The NCEL management board were forced to ask permission to press the nuclear button following the horrendous wet weather recently.
An extra week has been granted, meaning the Premier Division will finish on May 5th. The Division One play-offs have also been pushed back a week. The final will take place on the same day.
For clubs like Liversedge, who have had a ridiculous amount of away games called off, it brings relief. But not clubs are happy. In Division One, Glasshoughton and Nostell have also expressed disappointment as they have been able to get their games on.
