Yorkshire Amateur have added former Liversedge manager Dave Thompson to their coaching staff for next season.

Thompson was the ‘Sedge boss for a spell during the 2013-14 season and he will operate under manager Phil Harding and head coach Rick Addy at Bracken Edge.

The Ammers are aiming to continue their resurgent as a club after a Toolstation NCEL Division One campaign which has seen them flirt at the top end and eventually finish in the top ten.

The Leeds-based club are set to be in the FA Cup next season.

Ammers boss Harding said: “It is another positive step towards our aims.

“I’ve been impressed with Dave’s CV and his coaching ability so I think his appointment will prove to be an excellent one.

“We have had a brilliant season. We have achieved our targets and I’m hopeful that we can build on it next season under myself, Rick and Dave.”
