Pickering Town manager Paul Marshall has grabbed two of his old Tadcaster Albion players at the very last minute ahead of the trip to Handsworth Parramore.
Striker Calum Ward and goalkeeper Pete Lawrie are available to play for Pickering on the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division opening day as Tadcaster kindly agreed to release their registrations.
Ward’s exit from the i2i Sports Stadium marks the end of his second spell with the club, who he returned to in January 2014 after stints with Glasshoughton Welfare and Ossett Town.
His most memorable moment was arguably the winner in the FA Vase fourth round tie against Brocton in January.
Lawrie leaves Tadcaster after four years to be reunited with Marshall.
