Danny Joyne pulled Penistone Church back from the brink and then went onto score the winner in their epic 3-2 victory over West Didsbury & Chorlton.

Although Brett Lovell had given them the lead, Penistone were heading out due to two quick-fire goals from Matthew Kay and Robert Black.

Joynes struck in the last minute to force extra-time before scoring in the final few minutes of the additional 30 minutes to send Church through.

Liversedge were not so lucky as they lost 3-0 at Newcastle Benfield.

Westella & Willerby were beaten by the same score-line at home to Irlam.

Rossington Main lost 4-0 to Bootle in Doncaster.

Hallam beat Nostell 8-1, but the score does not reflect the 90 minutes as it was 1-1 with 22 minutes remaining after Steve Smith had cancelled out Christian Savage’s opener for Hallam.

The floodgates opened and Savage, Jed Phillips, Simon Mirfin, Jack Hargreaves, Steve Brammer (two penalties) and Jake Currie scored.
