Maltby Main have managed to re-sign Gainsborough Trinity striker Lewis Bemrose on a deal until the end of the season.

But he won’t appear for a few weeks as he is injured.

Bemrose, who was instrumental in the transformation of Main’s results in the second half of last season, is only a few weeks away from recovering from an ankle ligament injury he sustained whilst playing for Goole at the start of the season.

Spencer Fearn said: “We are delighted that Lewis is re-joining us again and thank Dom Roma at Gainsborough Trinity yet again for his assistance in making this happen. He is a quality player with a great pedigree.

“We have work to do the next few weeks to ensure Lewis has made a full recovery from the injury and hope for him to feature in the next couple of weeks.

“It is a great signing for us and we will be adding at least one player to the squad next week as we look forward to the second half of the season.”

Maltby visit struggling Barton Town Old Boys tomorrow.
