Leaders Shaw Lane AFC came from behind to end their two game winless run.

The Ducks turned around a half-time deficit to stay ahead of second-placed Witton Albion, who they face in a potentially season-defining match next week.

A first half penalty from Jonathan Williams put Belper ahead and some Ducks fans may have feared the worst.

However, the second half response was solid. Shaw Lane laid siege to Belper’s box straight after break and Gav Allott hit the crossbar with a thunderous effort. Fortunately the ball eventually found Alex Byrne who fired home.

Belper then collapsed as Allott got his first goal with a header from goalkeeper Jon Stewart’s free kick. He soon added his second with another header.

Evan Garnett then saw red before Ben Algar scored a rare goal to round off the victory.

The Team
