Chris Hilton is a “talented” manager according to Stocksbridge Park Steels

Chris Hilton has penned a new deal at Stocksbridge Park Steels to stay on for a fourth season.

The news comes a few weeks after Hilton and his coaches led the Steels on a tremendous run to surprise many by finishing fourth.

His coaching staff – Ryan Laight, Lee Thompson, Shaun Handisides and Nigel Hanks – have also agreed to remain at Bracken Moor.

The club said: “We can confirm that Chris Hilton and his management team have all agreed to new contracts for the 2017/2018 season.

“Chris has done a truly magnificent job at the helm of the playing side of the club, and has entertained the crowds with a very attractive style of football.

“He has ambitions to bring even greater success to the club and is busy talking to players for the challenges ahead.

The club cannot express enough how pleased we are to keep such a talented team.”
