Tadcaster Albion have made a coup signing after enticing perennial hero Danny Frost away from Ossett Town.

Frost was massively influential for Ossett, ever since Grant Black took over a doomed club in February 2015. His goals pushed them out of relegation danger and he was key during surprise run to the play-off final in May so his departure will bring a tear to many people’s eyes at Ingfield.

But for Tadcaster, it is fantastic news as they have captured a striker that has scored lots of goals at the handful of clubs he played for – including Shaw Lane AFC, Winterton Rangers, Spennymoor Town and Bradford (Park Avenue).

Frost told Tadcaster’s official website: “I’ve always been an admirer of Tadcaster Albion.

“When the opportunity to join the club came around, my ears pricked up straight away.

“I bought into the club’s plans immediately after meeting up with (new manager) Mikey (Morton) and Si (Collins) as well as speaking to Andy [Milne] and TC [Tom Corner].

“I’m really looking forward to hopefully another successful season for the club and for myself.”

Tadcaster have also been boosted by the news that player of the year Josh Barrett is staying.
