Promotion-winning Farsley Celtic captain Aaron Hardy has become the ninth summer signing at Tadcaster Albion.

Hardy will be part of a new-look Tadcaster side under Mike Morton and Simon Collins and he joins ex-Celtic colleagues Aiden Savory and Chris Howarth at the i2i Sports Stadium.

“I am absolutely delighted to have signed for Tadcaster Albion,” Hardy told Tadcaster’s official website.

“As soon as Mikey rang me during the off season I had to listen to what he had to say.

“We had a good chat and as soon as I came away from that I was really keen to get on board.

“He really sold the club to me and his philosophy on playing exactly how I like to play the game.

“The group he is putting together is really exciting and it ticked all the boxes for me.

“I’m just really keen to get going now and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.”

  1. So its a new team of players dropping down a league or 2 , I really hope Scarborough win the league and Tadcaster come mid table, tad need a keeper as Ingham is useless

  2. Dave, not sure if the fella you refer to is the one they had in goal for the county cup final, but if so he has a MASSIVE kick on him – will link up well with Sav as a target man. They will be dangerous in that div, but as with any newly re-built team, it can come down to how they all gel. Tad ‘ll probly be around the top 5, I’d suspect at this stage.

  3. A bit disappointed to hear that Azzer is leaving Throstle Nest. I feel he could have stepped up a div, but maybe Adam Lakeland doesn’t. He’s brought in 2 new younger, taller fullbacks/wingbacks now to replace Azzer & Howey. They’ll do a job for Tad though.
