Striker Stewart on the move again

Toolstation NCEL Premier Division

Carl Stewart has joined Pickering Town

Carl Stewart’s rollercoaster pre-season has taken another turn as he has now been reunited with Paul Marshall at Pickering Town.

The former Tadcaster Albion striker started the summer at Shaw Lane AFC before choosing to return to Scarborough Athletic.

He will now line up on the opening day of the season for Pickering to form a deadly strike-partnership with Ryan Blott.

It has been a busy day at Pickering as Peter Lawrie and Cameron Mulhearn have arrived from Selby Town.

Goalkeeper Lawrie only committed himself to the Robins in June, but has switched to the Premier Division side – who he has been playing for in the last two weeks.

Lawrie only left Pickering in September last year, after he had joined from Tadcaster Albion in the previous year.

Mulhearn signed for Pickering in pre-season, but the midfielder clearly impressed in the Robins friendly against Pickering where he scored twice, with one coming from 25 yards.

He has already impressed for the Pikes scoring with his first touch in a 3-1 friendly victory over Scarborough Athletic.
