Liam Flanagan scored twice for Selby

Clinical and brutal Selby Town disposed of struggling Swallownest with ease in a memorable 4-0 away victory.

Christian Fox’s brilliant young side had the points sown up by half-time. Smashing strikes from Joe Dale, Charlie Clamp and Liam Flanagan put the home side to the sword.

A superb team goal which Brazil would have been proud of sealed the victory – Flanagan being the man who applied the finishing touches.

Hallam surprisingly went down 4-1 to struggling Dronfield Town at home.

Two devastating last minute goals saw East Yorkshire Carnegie go down 3-2 to Grimsby Borough.

Michael O’Connell and Jack Smith had put Carnegie in a winning position.

Armthorpe Welfare lost 6-0 at Winterton Rangers.

Two very early goals from Leon Cusworth and Andrew McCreadie earned Rossington Main a 2-0 win over AFC Emley.

  1. Great win for Selby, Swallownest were spirited but other than the first five to ten minutes, they found it hard to break through. A couple of great saves by the Swallownest keeper ensured the score wasn’t higher.
