Brodie Litchfield’s dramatic last minute winner in the epic battle with Loughborough Dynamo pushed Stocksbridge Park Steels to the brink of the automatic promotion places.

The Steels are now third and a point off second spot after winning 4-3 in a game which had seen them take a 3-0 second half lead. The Steels threw that away and were fortunate that Litchfield was primed to be the hero of Bracken Moor.

Jack Poulton’s free kick and Matt Reay’s header placed the Steels into a solid half-time lead.

The job looked done when Scott Ruthven added the third. But then Loughborough hit back and levelled the scores.

Luckily Litchfield popped up.

Frickley Athletic lost 2-1 at Lincoln United. Jacob Hazel got Frickley’s goal.
