Lebrun Mbeke was the hero for Ossett Albion as his deft header guided them to an important 1-0 win over Mossley at Dimple Wells.
After a poor run of results, Albion needed a victory and Mbeke’s header from a corner in the 17th minute was all they needed.
Goole AFC also gained a precious point as Scott Smith’s opener helped them draw 1-1 at Droylsden.
Brighouse Town also picked up a much-needed win. Gabriel Johnson and Aaron Martin were the heroes in the 2-1 home win over Colne.
Michael Coulson’s first half strike guided Scarborough Athletic past Atherton Collieries.
Tadcaster Albion were beaten 4-1 at Hyde United.
Ossett Town lost at Trafford.
