Unbelievable start for Ducks boss Quinn

Shaw Lane AFC manager Paul Quinn

Paul Quinn’s reign as manager of Shaw Lane AFC began in unbelievable fashion as his side put five past title rivals Warrington Town without reply.

The Ducks had the points effectively sown-up by half-time having demolished Warrington.

An early goal eased any nerves and they never looked back. Nicky Walker set the opener up. His mazy ended with a low drive from Chib Chilaka.

Walker then set up former Leeds United midfielder David Norris for the second goal.

Warrington did little and when Paul Clayton pounced on the rebound from a Chilaka shot, it was all over.

it was definitely over after the opening acts of the second half. Spencer Harris added the fourth before Warrington’s Jack Higgins was sent off after a reckless tackle on Clayton.

Alex Byrne scored the fifth in stoppage time. Byrne’s penalty was saved, but he managed to convert the rebound.

Farsley Celtic lost 2-1 at Hednesford Town.
