Retiring Shaw Lane physio John Williamson
Long-serving Shaw Lane AFC physio John Williamson is retiring with immediate effect, but will be on hand to help out if needed.
Williamson, who wants to spend more time with his family, has been part of the fixtures and fittings of the Ducks throughout their incredible rise up the football pyramid. He had been planning to retire at the end of the season.
Williamson said: “The journey with Shaw Lane has been amazing but for me its journey’s end. I want to thank all the staff, volunteers, players and Craig Wood for giving me the opportunity it’s truly been a fantastic time. I have no doubt the history of the club will continue under the guidance of Paul Quinn and his staff.”
Williamson is being replaced by former Ossett Town physio Jordan Parkin.
