Eccleshill storm up to second place

Eccleshill United climbed to second place after hammering Armthorpe Welfare 6-2 in Bradford.

Antony Brown and Jonny Irving both got two. Sam Bradley’s goal and a Michael Collins own goal wrapped things up for Eccleshill.

Armthorpe, who had several key players missing, scored two late consolations through Morgan Brough and Steve Lyon.

Yorkshire Amateur remain in pursuit of leaders Knaresborough Town after beating AFC Emley 4-1 at Bracken Edge.

Ash Flynn scored twice against his old club, with Harrison Blakey and Brice Tiani also chipping with goals. Gregg Porter struck for Emley.

A late equaliser from Ben Kendall rescued a point for Campion in the home 2-2 draw with Rossington Main.

Rossington had cancelled out Leon Hurles-Brook’s opener and were on course for victory thanks to goals from Lee Holmes and Danny Bulman.
