Nathan Cartman scored the opener for Farsley

Holders Farsley Celtic are through to the final after holding onto a 2-1 lead at Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side Pontefract Collieries.

Eli Hey cancelled out Nathan Cartman’s early opener for Farsley before striker Dan Cockerline scored the winning goal close to half-time.

Farsley will play either Tadcaster Albion or Selby Town in the final.

In the East Riding Senior Cup quarter-finals, Hall Road Rangers lost 3-1 to a Hull City X1. Chris Spinks got their gaol.

In the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup third round, Swallownest needed extra-time to beat Swinton Athletic 3-1. Mitchell Ward-Cupitt, Brandon Ashmore and Jack Watts scored.

New joint player/manager Mike Garrod scored a last minute penalty to rescue Thackley in the 2-2 draw with Worksop Town in the NCEL Premier Division.

Thackley were trailing 2-0 at half-time. Garrod pulled one back at the beginning of the second half before making himself the hero at the death.
