Fans favourites Adam Field and James Hurtley are among six players who have committed to play for Brighouse Town next season.

Since the season ended, Vill Powell has been very busy and he has also tied down Aaron Martin, Connor Griffin, Lewis Riley and Gabriel Johnson.

Captain Field was just one of few who remained with the club following the exit of long-serving manager Paul Quinn, despite offers from elsewhere.

He enters his sixth season with Brighouse and he said: “It was a slightly frustrating start to the season with injuries for me personally and the team never got going.

“We had players coming and going but towards the end of the season we had a consistent team and things started to change, we won our last few games and looked more like a team. Hopefully we can take that momentum into next season.”
