Danny Critchlow is returning to ambitious Nostell Miners Welfare with Adam Hayton

Predatory striker Danny Critchlow is returning ‘home’ to Nostell Miners Welfare after agreeing a move back to Crofton Community Centre, along with midfielder Adam Hayton.

It is another major coup by the ambitious and thriving club.

Critchlow originally made his name at Nostell during the closing stages of the Alan Colqhoun years before spells with Tadcaster Albion, Stocksbridge Park Steels, Hemsworth Miners Welfare and Parkgate. He has also battled back from a serious injury.

His most prolific spell away from Nostell was with Hemsworth, for who he scored the goal to propel them into the top flight of the NCEL during the win at Dronfield Town in April 2016.

Smooth operators Jason Dodsworth and Simon Houghton will be hoping the striker can repeat the trick next year.

Hayton also returns after previously turning out for the club during the Darren Holmes era.

Since leaving he has been a key player for Glasshoughton Welfare and most recently Hemsworth.
