The Owen brothers Jack and Liam are staying at Nostell

Rejuvenated and ambitious Nostell Miners Welfare have received a major boost as the talented Owen brothers, Liam and Jack have committed themselves to the club for next season.

The pair have turned down interest from other clubs in the NCEL to stay at Crofton Community Centre. Both were a revelation for Nostell last season as Jason Dodsworth and Simon Houghton steered them away from danger in eye-catching style.

Dodsworth and Houghton, who deserve massive praise for their work so far at Nostell, also confirmed that last season’s squad have pledged to remain with the club.

Twelve months ago Nostell were struggling to appoint a manager. Now in 2018, the place is buzzing and the hive of actively and with managers like Dodsworth and Houghton in charge of the first team, the sky could be the limit.
