Young Ben Rhodes scored the dramatic late winner as Stocksbridge Park Steels returned to winning ways with the solitary goal victory over Carlton Town at Bracken Moor.

There was nothing to choose between the sides until the final 15 minutes when Chris Hilton’s men upped the ante.

Eventually they got their moment when Tyler Williams supplied Rhodes who got in-between two defenders before scoring past the advancing visiting goalkeeper from the edge of the penalty area.

Former Stocksbridge star Joe Lumsden was the hero for Tadcaster Albion, who incredibly beat Frickley Athletic 4-0.

Lumsden hit a hat-trick for Taddy, whose other goal-scorer was Casey Stewart.

Ossett United drew 0-0 at Marske United.

On Monday night, Brighouse Town briefly went top of the table after the 3-3 draw with Pickering Town.

Sam Wright’s late goal rescued a draw for Brighouse, who trailed 3-1 with 15 minutes to go. Billy Logan, Ryan Blott and Nick Thompson had appeared to have put Paul Marshall’s side on course for victory.

That was until Martin and Wright intervened.
