New Railway boss delivers on promise

Joe Jagger is one of Harrogate Railway’s new signings

New Harrogate Railway manager Des Macorison is delivering on his promise to give proven Step 7 players a chance in the NCEL.

The ex-goalkeeper, who earned his managerial stripes with Littetown in the now defunct WRCAL, said when he took charge at Station View he had lined up four strikers with 120 goals between them at Step 7.

That promise has been fulfilled, with his opening signings. Former Brighouse Town and Liversedge striker Joe Jagger, most recently of Littletown, is the most familiar name of his signings.

Also signing are former York City youngster Ryan Caulfield and Lower Hopton winger James Heeley. Railway have also retained Danny Blacker.
