Defender Josh Barrett has ended his long stint with Tadcaster Albion to join John Deacey’s Scarborough Athletic.

Barrett has been deliberately signed by Scarborough to help shore up their leaky defence which has contributed to their poor start to the BetVictor Premier Division campaign.

A lot of Tadcaster fans will be sad to see one of their most loyal servants leave the club.

He had a major part of many of their successes, including the 2015 FA Vase run and the 2016 Toolstation NCEL Premier Division title success.

His departure means Andy Milne is the only player left from the Paul Marshall era.
