Wayne Benn has stood down at Hemsworth Miners Welfare after seven historic seasons to become the new manager of Ossett United.
Benn has overseen unprecedented success at Hemsworth after leading them from the bottom of the Toolstation NCEL Division One to being contenders for a place in the BetVictor North West.
Luke Danville and Steven Jeff have been installed in temporary charge of Hemsworth. They will be assisted by Andy Hart. Benn’s loyal assistant Andy Hayward has also joined Ossett.
Benn will be watching his new team take on City of Liverpool tonight before taking charge properly on Thursday when they host Prescot Cables.
